Improving Our Signwork

About Me

Improving Our Signwork

After suffering from quarter after quarter with lagging sales, I realized that I needed to do a better job of improving our customer attraction and retention. I started thinking about how a customer might find our business, and it occurred to me that we needed to go through and improve our sign work. We were able to find a great business in the area that offered a huge number of available signs, and they were really amazing to work with. They recreated all of the signs that we needed for our business, and it was incredible to see just how much more business we were able to enjoy in a short timeframe.

Changing Business Locations: Preparations In Advance To Your Move

It is exciting when your business begins to grow so much that you have to find a new location to accommodate the growth and/or product inventory you now have. However, it can also be an overwhelming time. There are so many things you need to do and should do to prepare for your move. Here are just a few big preparations you should do before the new business location is up and running.

Sign Services

While you can notify your customers that you are moving, it helps to hire sign services to create a newer, better and more obvious sign to attract new customers. Consider asking a sign company to redesign your sign for your new space. If the sign company does not have any in-house graphic designers, you could hire a graphic designer to create the new sign and then take the design to the sign company. The sign company then creates the new sign for you, and installs it on the building or near the front door of your new location. Since this process takes a few weeks, you will need to get started at least a month before your move. Companies like Sign Services Inc can help with this.

Keep all new inventory boxed unless you need to open it for a customer. All your old inventory will have to be reboxed and labeled for the move. Make sure you have a complete list of all the inventory you have, regardless of its new, inbox status or on-the-floor status. That way, when you move, you can go through it all to make sure it is all there.

Creating an inventory list can be done by hiring an inventory crew to tally everything for you and print out a list, or you can do it entirely by yourself (by hand or on your business computer). If you hire a crew of inventory takers, you will have your list in a week or less. If you do it yourself, it may take several weeks more. Either way, you have to plan ahead.

Hiring Professional Cleaners to Clean the Old Business Space

Chances are you probably rented or leased your old business space. If that is the case, you will want to hire professional cleaning services about the same time you have hired sign services to make sure the space will be cleaned on time. Scheduling cleaning services in advance alleviates your own worries about losing a security deposit.
