Improving Our Signwork

About Me

Improving Our Signwork

After suffering from quarter after quarter with lagging sales, I realized that I needed to do a better job of improving our customer attraction and retention. I started thinking about how a customer might find our business, and it occurred to me that we needed to go through and improve our sign work. We were able to find a great business in the area that offered a huge number of available signs, and they were really amazing to work with. They recreated all of the signs that we needed for our business, and it was incredible to see just how much more business we were able to enjoy in a short timeframe.

Four Things To Consider When Having Channel Letters Created For The Exterior Of Your Business

When you need to have a sign made for the exterior of your business, it can be hard to know what factors to take into consideration when having the sign created, if you have never had one created before. If you want for your business to be as noticeable as it can possibly be during the day and at night, you should consider having channel letters made to use on the exterior of your business. The following guide walks you through a few things to know about ordering channel letters for your business.

Consider the Space Where You Plan to Hang the Letters

The first thing you need to consider is where you plan to hang the letters. Talk to the landlord that owns the building to find out where he or she would allow you to hang your business' lettering. Be sure to take measurements of the space so that you know how tall and wide the letters can be before you order them.

Consider the Shape of the Letters

Next, you need to consider the shape you want for the letters. Some people choose to use cursive lettering for their large signs because they feel it has an elegant look. It is important to remember that some people do not read cursive and you may be limiting your demographic if you use cursive lettering on your business signage.

Consider the Color of the Letters

When you are having the channel letters created, you need to consider what colors you want used to create the letters. You want the letters to be bold and easy to see. Many people choose white coloring for their lettering because it is easy to see at night and during the day.

Consider the Installation of the Letters

When ordering the letters, it is important to know if the cost of installation is included in the cost of the letters of if you will have to hire a separate company to install the letters for you. Be sure to ask the letter manufacturer if they have any recommendations for installers to ensure that the installation is done properly.

It is important to make sure that you turn off the letters when you leave the business if you want to save money on operational costs. There is no need to have the letters powered when the business is not open because no customers will be able to come inside to do business. Be sure to turn the lights back on as soon as you come into the business in the morning so that anyone who is looking for the business early in the morning can easily find it.
